Everyone needs to show up in record numbers and vote! Take all the necessary precautions, but if you don't vote then you can't complain about the outcome if it doesn't go your way.
SUFFOLK, VA, November 04, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fans of Dr. Barbara Taber's online series would likely agree that the show is really hitting its stride right now. This is thanks in no small part to '2020 Division' and its episode-within-an-episode, nesting doll structure. This extra-long Take It Or Leave It ("TIOLI") episode was born out of necessity. Dr. Taber instantly recognized the importance of taking a closer look, in real time, at some of the issues being faced in 2020. Rather than sidestepping it, she jumped right into the fray, essentially becoming a part of the news cycle as her show analyzes and unpacks issue after issue, as these things develop.
In this fourth and final installment of '2020 Division,' Dr. Taber ties it all together naturally. She focuses mainly on President Donald Trump and the importance of today's election. She encourages audience members to get out and vote, reminding us that every vote counts, and in many states the polls are still open! Dr. Taber refracts all of this year's tumult and change through the prism of sensibility and the promise of the American Dream; Black Lives Matter, societal unrest, COVID-19, human rights, and so much more is covered in these twenty-two and a half minutes. The most recent installment before tonight's show (which was "Part Three") debuted on the night of the final presidential debate, and to many it feels like an eternity since that evening. In the 2020 time vacuum things move in all directions, at all speeds! Dr. Taber does her best to keep up with everything, and remain on the cutting edge of cultural change and immediacy.
BEHIND THE SCENES OF "2020 DIVISION"
Not too long ago, Take It or Leave It debuted its second episode, a provocative and challenging exploration of school and classroom violence. It was created before (but released during) the COVID-19 pandemic. While the show's producers made every effort to ensure the episode didn't scan as "tone deaf" amidst the growing problems of 2020, it became quickly apparent that a change would need to be made to the show's existing schedule.
From there, Dr. Taber and her dedicated production team set out to tackle the weighty issues plaguing us in 2020: coronavirus, civil rights, sociopolitical unrest, the upcoming presidential election, and so much more. Also, in keeping with the tone of the program, these things would need to be handled in an unflinching manner, and the entire team would have to go where most fear to tread.
'2020 Division,' a four-part mini-series clocking in at nearly 100 minutes, has seen Dr. Taber as both the oracle and the reporter; the barometer and the documentarian. She aims to not only inform her audience, but also to inspire and hopefully effect change.
"This is one of the most important elections in the history of the United States," explains Dr. Taber. "I hope everyone shows up in record numbers to vote and create change in this country. Take the necessary COVID precautions, but if you don't vote then you can't complain about the outcome if it doesn't go your way.
"We live in a democracy, and the beauty of a democracy is that we the people decide who's in power and who is not."
Dr. Barbara Taber urges fans and newcomers alike to tune into Take It Or Leave It: '2020 Division' Part Four, especially if they are feeling confused or unsure about where they stand in these troubling times.
It is streaming now on Dr. Taber's official website.
