Amit Raizada Foundation Releases Editorial Series on Disaster Relief Philanthropy

Foundation Chairman Amit Raizada has penned a three-part series on the ways philanthropists can impact disaster recovery efforts across the country.

MIAMI, FL, November 06, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As natural disasters continue to impact millions of individuals across the country, Amit Raizada has released a new series of articles expounding upon steps philanthropists and donors can take to help alleviate suffering and solve challenges in many of the nation's hardest-hit communities.

"At the Amit Raizada Foundation, we've long sought to catalyze lasting social change in communities across the country," Raizada said. "I believe fundamentally that natural disasters, from wildfires to hurricanes, are social challenges. Exacerbated by our warming climate, these tragedies destroy property, keep children out of school, and deepen existing inequalities."

Raizada's announcement comes as much of the Western United States remains blanked in smoke from the region's most acute wildfire season in years. Along the Gulf Coast, Hurricane Delta is set to soon make landfall, striking many of the same communities already ravaged by past storms.

"The most nefarious attribute about these storms and wildfires is that they strike the same communities time and time again," Raizada said. "Residents have little time to recover before being faced with another disaster, reigniting fears about displacement and property loss. Philanthropists during these difficult times have an obligation to step in and use the resources at our disposal to develop novel solutions that help real people. I sincerely hope these insights will help advance this noble endeavor."

About the Amit Raizada Foundation: The Amit Raizada Foundation seeks to catalyze lasting social change by supporting philanthropic ventures that bring long-term value to diverse communities.
