Although he initially planned on becoming a teacher, Mr. Reynolds discovered his passion for criminal justice after enrolling in a number of collegiate courses in the field. He credits this passion to Professor William Head, whom he greatly admires. Mr. Reynolds subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Indiana University Bloomington and began his career as an outpatient case manager at Wabash Valley Hospital.
Mr. Reynolds remained at Wabash Valley Hospital as an entitlement specialist before accepting a position as a patient resource advocate for ClaimAid. After graduating cum laude with a Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University Law School, he worked as a chief law clerk and dual status facilitator for LaPorte County Circuit Court. Mr. Reynolds currently excels as a deputy public defender and an associate attorney at Douglas Koeppen & Hurley.
As a testament to his exemplary professional skills, Mr. Reynolds notably accepted the Corpus Juris Secundum Award. He has maintained his professional affiliation with the Indiana State Bar Association, the La Porte County Bar Association, the Porter County Bar Association, the Exchange Club of La Porte, and the Inns of Court. Looking toward the future, Mr. Reynolds plans to continue aiding persons with disabilities, families, and children until he is ready for retirement.
