Since 2005, Dr. Robinson has excelled as a private independent educational consultant, through which she has offered clients curriculum and instructional guidance deriving from more than 40 years of excellence as a teacher and school administrator. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University, and she completed her education at Boston University, which bestowed her with both Master's and Doctoral degrees. She began her career as an administrator at Boston University, followed by reading specialist at the Manter Hall School and at the Hingham Public Schools.

After serving as a reporter for the Patriot Ledger of Quincy, Massachusetts, Dr. Robinson returned to K-12 education, serving as the director of Christ Lutheran School in the early 1970s before earning the position of the first female principal of alternative programs at Scituate Public Schools and the first female chairperson of English and the director of reading programs at St. Andrew's School in Boca Raton, Florida. She spent the next five years as an English departmental head and instructional specialist for private schools in Virginia, Colorado and New York, before accepting a position as the first female head of school of the Dwight School in New York in 1994. Dr. Robinson remained active at the Dwight School until 2004, whereupon she was appointed as the director of reading programs for Massachusetts Public Schools.

Dr. Robinson is the former director of literacy and technology programs at the Seacoast School of Technology and an online educator for the Virtual Learning Academy. She also worked as adjunct professor at St. Thomas University and Nova University, and served as a coordinator for the American Institute of Foreign Study, an agent for Hamilton College, a town committee member of Scituate, Massachusetts, and a school evaluator for both national and international schools' accrediting organizations. She has contributed extensively to professional journals and popular media outlets, and is the author of several books and curriculum guides, most recently "The Joy of Knowing How to Learn: Language Skills, Series 1-3" and "Fostering Creativity in Children, K-8: Theory and Practice." Likewise, Dr. Robinson is a founding member of the National Council of Teachers of English International Women's Review Board, a board member and past president of the Association for the Advancement of Educational Research International and The National Academy for Educational Research, and a member of the board of Treasure Time.

Dr. Robinson remains professionally affiliated with numerous organizations, including the Association for the Advancement of Educational Research International, the National Academy for Educational Research, and Phi Delta Kappan. In recognition of her career record of outstanding service, she has been the recipient of teacher awards, including from among others, The English-Speaking Union of the United States and the National League of Pen Women.
