OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, January 08, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Wayne Anthony Walz has been included in Marquis Who's Who. For several decades, Mr. Walz has excelled as a consulting engineer and executive for several international petroleum industry ventures. Born and raised in Southern Louisiana surrounded by oil and gas production, he developed a serious interest in the field after he realized the broad range of opportunities available to chemical engineers. Initially obtaining an Associate of Arts in engineering at Southeastern Louisiana University, Mr. Walz later graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering.
In the 1990's, Mr. Walz began his international ventures as Country Manager for Pennzoil's operations within the Russian Federation. He facilitated the negotiations with ROSCOMNEDRA and the Ministry of Energy to reduce federal, region and local taxes to commercialize the implementation of oil production and export from Pennzoil's Western Siberia concession. He also provided the Russian Ministry of Energy a suggested draft for the federal decree implementing a $10 USD reduction in the Crude Oil Export Tariff. Mr. Walz's exceptional track record within the Russian Federation lead to his selection as the Vice President of Projects and Field Development for the BP and AMOCO lead, Azerbaijan I.ntemational Operating Company (AIOC) consortium, which would remain his focus until 1998. During this period, he lead the consortium's effort to establish production from the super giant, 7 billion bbl, offshore, ACG Field. The first internationally lead, offshore project within the Caspian Sea. A closely monitored effort, by both the White House and 10 Downing Street, since the oil and gas production from Azerbaijan was anticipated to offset the declining production from North Sea, and to break the natural gas supply monopoly held by GASPROM.
He further flourished as a project management consultant for Trans Ventures International LLC in 2000's, and consulted for clients including Asiacom Investment Holdings and the Bahar Energy Operating Company. From 2007 until 2010, Mr. Walz provided his leadership expertise to Nobel Oil Ltd. as the chief executive officer and the general manager, departing from this post in the following year to accept a consulting position with Guangzhou Gaohoa Fuel Oil Ltd.
Since 2017, Mr. Walz has found success as a senior director of Capitalinka. He attributes his success to his outstanding work ethic and deep knowledge of the intricacies of his field. Currently, he is partnering with GEOPARK, CENSUS EQUITY and 3G CONTECT to acquire a License for a major, mature, onshore, super giant oilfield in Azerbaijan for re-development; and also, acquisition ofan offshore license within Turkmenistan waters. He plans to return to Azerbaijan to resume business as soon as COVID 19 allows. Furthermore, Mr. Walz has served as a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Baku, as an Advisor to the Natural Gas Institute and as President of the Baku Chapter of Rotary International.
