A growth-minded business professional with years of experience to his credit, Mr. Nelson has excelled as the founder and chief executive officer of clevtech, formerly known as the Clever Box Company, since 2014. Having partnered with Seafood Destiny in North Carolina, Gianelli's Pizza and Chicken Man in Wisconsin, and SouthernQ BBQ, Station Houston, Gatlin's BBQ, and This Is It Soul Food in Houston, clevtech has processed more than 5,500 orders without error and created 100% recyclable versions of their Hybrid Smart Lockers while preparing for their expansion of the Yummy Box with a global restaurant chain in 2021 and the launch of Yummy Box software 3.0.

Since 2016, Mr. Nelson has also been an active member of Station Houston, an organization dedicated to transforming Houston into a leading hub for worldwide technology innovation and entrepreneurship. Beginning his career as a shipping clerk for a Walmart Distribution Center from 2010 to 2014, Mr. Nelson further served as a summer intern for the U.S. Coast Guard in 2012, during which time he refined his leadership skills from high-ranking officers.

Before embarking upon his professional path, Mr. Nelson pursued an education in engineering at South Plains College from 2008 to 2009. Continuing his academic efforts with general coursework at Lone Star College from 2009 to 2012, he subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science in maritime transportation management and security at Texas Southern University in 2014. Following this accomplishment, he completed postgraduate coursework in international transportation management and maritime studies at the State University of New York Maritime College in 2015 and graduated from the Houston Technology Center Accelerator Program in 2016. Moreover, Mr. Nelson has garnered his certifications in the National Incident Management System from the Federal Emergency Management Agency in 2013 and as a food safety manager by the Texas Department of State Health Services in 2019.

In addition to his primary responsibilities, Mr. Nelson has thrived in numerous endeavors beyond his professional circles. From 2013 to 2017, he worked as a community assistant for the Houston-Based Health and Educational Center for Youth. In 2018, he participated in the Diverse Tech Entrepreneurs Mini-Boot Camp at the Center for Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development for Rutgers Business School. Mr. Nelson found further success with his spiritual experiences, having contributed to the Fallbrook Baptist Church as a children's ministry leader since 2016.

In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Nelson has accrued several accolades throughout his impressive career. Likewise, Mr. Nelson was selected for inclusion in the Fast 100 by the Houston Business Journal.

Mr. Nelson attributes his success as a tech entrepreneur in Houston to a pair of benefactors - Gabby, former CEO of Station Houston, and her husband, Ken. Also, Jay Patel, his first angel investor, Yasha Huynh, his lead software engineer at clevtech, his mother Tyia Hall, his grandfather Leon Hall, his grandmother Gladys Hall, his mentor Darell Anderson, his angel investor David F Guajardo, his friends, his empowering wife Garcelle Nelson, and Mayor Sylvester Turner for making Houston an inspiring place where we all can certainly "Be Someone."

He remains inspired by his maritime shipping experiences and his status as a burgeoning African American businessman. As a self-motivated individual, he lives by the statement, "If you're not making someone else's life better, then you're wasting your time."

Looking toward the future, Mr. Nelson plans to establish 2000 Yummy Box locations over five years to prove that his unique business approach is meaningful and profitable. His ambitious goals are fueled by his desire to represent an alternative in his community on wealth creation beyond the traditional pursuits of sports and entertainment. And to create the first American company to have all employees' student loans, mortgages, and consumer debt paid-in-full. "Imagine the business world where your team helps bring remarkable ideas to life because they are genuinely interested in going on an amazing journey with you and not due to bills."
