A Young Adult Romantic Comedy Novella about a Music Festival to Raise Funds for #SaveOurStages

100% of profits from the first 90 days of release will be donated

TAMPA, FL, January 30, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Imagine being a teen in today's COVID world, especially a high schooler, where your world has greatly changed. You can no longer enjoy events such as graduation parties, gathering in large crowds at football games, or watching your favorite band at a concert or music festival such as Bonaroo.

Live performance venues were some of the first to close due to COVID, and today, almost a year later, are still closed. Right now, they have little to no opportunity to bring in revenue, and they will be the last to reopen.

NIVA, the National Independent Venue Association, is a group of over 3,000 independent venues in 50 states and Washington, D.C. that banded together to ask the national government for targeted legislation to help them survive during this unprecedented time.

This group of small businesses are in danger of never opening their doors again. Luckily, the #SaveOurStages act passed as part of the COVID-19 relief bill, providing some support for these independent venues. But more can be done, not only in fundraising but in awareness of the dire situation.

Author Victoria Anders will donate 100% of the profits for the first 90-days of release for the novella The Last Hurrah to the NIVA Emergency Relief fund to help #SaveOurStages. "Every little bit helps, and I want to do my part," said Victoria, a young adult author. "I'm a huge music lover, and I've spent tons of time enjoying live music. I can't imagine the world being without it."

The Last Hurrah is a young adult romantic comedy novella centered around an end-of-summer music festival called, you guessed it, the Last Hurrah.

In this coming-of-age romance, we meet 17-year-old Everly who suffers from a teenage broken heart (meaning she's near death because she can't survive without her ex). Luckily, her best friend lures her back into the land of the living with tickets to The Last Hurrah. At the festival, she discovers that hearts are meant to mend when she meets Lincoln, another 17-year-old suffering from teenage angst, and they tackle a scavenger hunt together to find tickets to a super-secret show put on by their mutually favorite band, Black Moon.

The Last Hurrah releases on February 5, 2021. It will be available online at major book retailers as an eBook for 99 cents and paperback for $9.99.

An early reviewer said, "The Last Hurrah is a YA rom-com novella featuring healing pain, blossoming romance and many cringe-worthy yet hilarious moments. You couldn't not fall in love with the honest and flawed yet adorable characters, as well as be swept away in the summer nostalgia reverberating throughout this book."
