By adopting SRT and joining the SRT Alliance, Castr is taking its solutions to the next level.
VANCOUVER, BC, February 04, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Castr Live Streaming Inc. today announced that it has joined the SRT Alliance, the open-source initiative dedicated to overcoming the challenges of low-latency video streaming.
As part of Castr's overall strategy to promote efficient, affordable and easy video streaming solutions, Castr joined the SRT Alliance to integrate the SRT protocol into its platform, enabling for the best viewing experience, secured content from contribution to distribution, and pristine video quality over unreliable networks.
The SRT Alliance, founded by Haivision in April 2017, is focused on overcoming the challenges of low-latency live streaming by supporting the collaborative development of the SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol. SRT is a free open-source video transport protocol and technology stack originally developed and pioneered by Haivision that enables the delivery of high-quality and secure, low-latency video across the public internet. With over 450 members in the SRT Alliance and widespread industry adoption, SRT is the fastest-growing open-source streaming project.
