The automaker's social media platforms have recently shown a sharp focus on products utilizing cleaner energy sources.
As news of America's return to the Paris Climate Agreement hit, Audi celebrated by posting its all-new Audi e-tron GT on social media and acknowledging the importance of moving forward to cleaner energy sources. The hashtag #FutureIsAnAttitude was used to underscore the importance of committing to this paradigm shift.
Audi has made it clear that the brand aligns itself with the climate agreement. Tara Rush, Audi of America CMO, confirmed the automaker's goals of moving towards net carbon neutrality in the next thirty years, and actively growing the lineup of electric vehicles in the United State to 30% by 2025. Many of the German manufacturer's products feature on the CarBuzz best electric cars lists.
The automaker also made a bold statement in support of US President Joe Biden's commitment to the fight against climate change on social media platforms by posting, "We're celebrating that the United States is once again cementing its commitment in the fight against climate change."
Numerous other brands are also pledging their commitment to cleaner energy sources. BMW's electric cars, as well as those from Mercedes-Benz, passed science-based emission targets, while Ford and Honda committed to reducing emissions drastically by 2026. Audi has also released plans to increase its EV footprint in China.
