Spring Football League To Host Spaghetti Luncheon Benefit - Saturday, March 20th!

The Spring Football League (SFL) will be hosting a meet & greet Benefit Luncheon for local charities at the ITALIAN CAFE, affectionately known as "The Italian Restaurant" of Los Colinas at 12 p.m. on SATURDAY, MARCH 20TH



    IRVING, TX, March 18, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Spring Football League (SFL) will be hosting a meet & greet Benefit Luncheon for local charities at the ITALIAN CAFE, affectionately known as "The Italian Restaurant" of Los Colinas at 12 p.m. on SATURDAY, MARCH 20TH, to Kick-Off the first Day of Spring!

Attendees will have the opportunity to select from a priority list of charities or submit the name of their preferred charity, enjoy a great meal, and then the winning charity will be selected following lunch!

The Italian Café has been a beloved restaurant in Los Colinas for more than thirty years and a majority of their staff have been serving there since they first opened their doors. As a result of that seasoned expertise, guests receive a perfect combination of great service, warm ambiance, and delicious food that comes from almost 80% repeat customers.

Louis White, Founder of the Spring Football League, has also launched the SFL Adopt-A-Player Program, to create more professional football opportunities, as well as become a resource for funding existing non-profits. Through the program, players will be Sponsored or employed seasonally with a League Minimum $35,000 / year, and can work during season with approval. Employment may / may not include other Corporate Sponsors, Alumni Organizations, Community Leaders, non-profit organizations, as well as state, county, and local offices.

Through the collaborative efforts of chamber of commerce, business, government, community leaders, player sponsorship, players will have more opportunity to fulfill their dream as well as serve in their community!

SFL MISSION AND VALUES

Core Objective: 1. To present the Spring Football League and its teams as a level of professional football that will attract former collegiate players and audiences that will supplement the National Football League and Canadian Football Leagues for play in the Spring season. Our objective is to establish alternative professional football opportunities for aspiring individuals in their degreed area.

Core Objective: 2. Players will serve with their local community partners to achieve his or her full potential by consistently cultivating their athletic skills and abilities to improve themselves, guided by these values: Integrity, Performance and Teamwork, Tradition and Innovation, Diversity, Learning. Resources from league play will in turn help to fund local area community programs, i.e. homeless and transitional programs, low-income home building, adoption programs, food pantries, youth development.

KEY BENCHMARKS REQUIRES FUNDING:

Player Eligibility: Players must have satisfied the following set of criteria to be Draft eligible:

Attended a league combine, workout or tryout, or have a written scouting report from an SFL Coach, scout or player personnel official at the league office.

Have a signed SFL Draft Eligible Player Agreement on file at the league office.

Have a verification of their college degree and official transcripts on file at the league office.

The Spring Football League schedule will be designed to satisfy fans who hunger for quality football between the NFL and college seasons, but your support is needed!

COVID-19: Due to current Enhanced COVID-19 Protocols, anticipated timelines for combines, draft, training camps has been postponed.
