Fariba Faith Negahban Korangy, Founder of Mama Faith's Olive Spread, Praised for Charitable Contributions

Ms. Negahban is proud of the work she has done, both in terms of her business and in terms of her African charitable organization

WOODBINE, MD, April 14, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fariba Faith Negahban Korangy has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Motivated by the examples of independence and hard work learned from her parents, Fariba "Faith" Negahban Korangy has excelled in her role as founder and president of Mama Faith's Olive Spread—an all-natural, Mediterranean-style delicacy—since 2016.

Born in Iran, Ms. Negahban grew up in a hardworking family that emphasized service to others and society. She was greatly influenced by the values of her father and mother.

Her father worked hard and eventually became a General in the Kings Palace. All his life, he made sure he took care of others, which is something she took to heart. Her mother had many talents, including cooking, and went to culinary school. They both started from very humble beginnings, and struggled, but came out the other side and advanced to being financially secure and comfortable. They also traveled the world and sponsored an orphanage, which inspired Ms. Negahban's area of education and her interests.

When Ms. Negahban immigrated to the United States in 1977, she refused to accept any of her father's offers of financial help, as she wanted to see how she would do fighting against the odds. She intentionally stripped away a lot of her own privileges in order to prove to herself she could make it on her own.

In 1979, she married her husband, Sam. She gravitated toward her eventual professional path because she wanted to make something of her experiences and, in her own words, "touch the fabric of life." In 1983, she pursued her own education at Drexel University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

Throughout her career, Ms. Negahban has held a variety of positions in several industries, through which she has become fluent in a diverse array of education, business, coaching, and networking skills. She worked diligently to ensure that her two sons would be bright, successful, and able to attend college.

Prior to establishing Mama Faith's Olive Spread, Ms. Negahban would make and serve her tangy green olive tapenade alongside many other delicious dishes at family functions. Friends and family alike would frequently rave about the spread and encouraged her to "share it with the world." By 2016, she decided to seriously pursue the idea and turned her talent in the kitchen into a full-fledged business.

Since opening her Maryland-based business, many of Ms. Negahban's lifelong aspirations have been fulfilled. An initial dream of hers was to fund an orphanage, and she has been able do so through a charity organization developed within her company. She uses the proceeds from her business to support Neema Journey of Hope, a non-governmental organization that seeks to build a village and support the lives of more than 60 orphans and several elderly people in Kenya, Africa. The program, which began as a farm with lots of animals as well as crops, is now also an orphanage that provides basic housing, food, clothing, and education for the children.

Ms. Negahban is particularly proud of her company for being different from others as it strives to be an honest one, with all-natural products. Looking toward the future, she hopes to turn her charity into a village of orphans and keep the children in it as educated possible. Additionally, she wants to advise future generations to always care for others and be kind—once you do that, she said, "the universe will take care of you."

Reflecting upon her life and career, Ms. Negahban would like to be remembered as someone who made a lot of mistakes and faced a lot of failure, but through hard work and caring for others, ultimately created success in both her personal and professional life.
