HARRISBURG, PA, April 19, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ollie Riley Jr. has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Drawing inspiration from the example of his grandfather, a photographer, Mr. Riley fostered his interest in the field from a young age. Driven to pursue a similar path, he began taking photos in his early twenties before earning a certification in photography from HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College in 2020. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Riley has developed specialties in street, macro, portraits, event and landscape photography.
Riley is most proud to have entered a photography competition in 2018. His entry won the third place International Photography Award and first place in 2019. Other standout moments to Mr. Riley's credit include winning first place at the Student Expo locally in 2019 with his photo of two pigeons watching traffic and receiving two honorable mentions through the International Photography Awards in 2020 and just recently awarded Short list for one of the best photographs submitted in 2020 by the London International Creative competition.
Outside of his work in the field, Mr. Riley has spent six years of community service in West Africa, he has many years of project management in the IT field, he became certified as a COVID-19 contact tracer and he has maintained his affiliation with the honorable society of Phi Theta Kappa Society. Looking toward to the future, he intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career, as well as being a member of Astronomical Society of Harrisburg exploring astro photography. Ultimately, Mr. Riley aims to have his work on exhibition.
