In order to remain aware of changes in the field, he aligns himself with the Blacksmith Guild of the Russian Federation, the Artist Blacksmith Association of North America and the National Ornamental & Miscellaneous Metals Association, from which he received the Mitch Heitler Award for Excellence in 2010.
