Grateful to the Environmental Protection Agency and the Army Corps of Engineers, which both established the necessary framework for the industry in 2008, Ms. Collier was eager to continue in the efforts of protecting and restoring the environment through NEBA. Despite being involved in an admittedly complicated industry that requires an extensive amount of commitment, she plans to form additional mitigation banks in the near future. Notably, Ms. Collier is also active as a managing partner of the Valencia Wetlands Trust since 2006 and served on the steering committee of the National Mitigation and Ecosystem Banking Conference.
Prior to working in non-profit, Ms. Collier flourished for many years in management for residential development and commercial projects. She also gained expertise in the fields of healthcare and marketing. To better support the industry, she is a member of the steering committee for the EPA, for which she has been focusing her efforts on creating a manual for increased regulator efficiency, and the leadership council of the National Small Business Association since 2016. Ms. Collier formerly excelled as a secretary, treasurer and member of the board of directors of the Ecological Restoration Business Association as well.
