Dr. Mallick is distinguished for his almost 30 years of dedication to the field of education. As a chairman and professor at the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, he handles administrative aspects such as attending meetings, scheduling office hours, and helping his fellows in addition to managing the technical aspects of the job. IISWBM is the first Management institute of the country and also is a center for higher learning in Social Welfare. Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Dr. Mallick earned Intermediate Physical Sciences & Mathematics and Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) in Commerce, Economics, Business Mathematics & Statistics degrees from Saint Xavier's College of Calcutta University in Kolkata, India, in 1983. He continued his studies at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 1985, where he became certified to become a chartered accountant. Dr. Mallick eventually concluded his education in the U.S. later in his life, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy from New York University in 1993. He had been a National Merit Scholar in his Secondary Examination and a Development Fellow at his PhD student stage. He was appointed Full Professor at Bronx Community College of CUNY at the age of 29 years.
As a commitment to his field, Dr. Mallick has been active with several industry-related organizations, such as the Indian Statistical Institute, the Mathematical Finance Society at the University of Sydney, the Econometric Society, the Royal Economic Society, the American Mathematical Society, the Association of Computing Machinery and the European Physical Society. Throughout the course of his career, he has authored many scholarly articles and research monographs. Credited as a joint editor for the Indian Institute of Social Welfare Business Management journal, Dr. Mallick additionally flourishes as an editor for macroeconomics and insurance economics for Project for Research Papers in Economics. He is also editorial board member of Finance & Market and Journal of Composite Materials. He has also been "Einstein" Chair, Natural Sciences, Institute of Advanced Study, Princeton between 2019 and 2021 and has over twenty five Google Scholar publications of which five are in Nature.com.
Wife, Countess of York Dr. (Ms.) Prakriti Bandyopadhyay (Mallick) and son, Earl Prince of York Millenial Sandipan Mallick (date of birth July 12, 1995) Pharma Engineer and Fellow Millenium Mathematics Prize Laureate, both collaborators in research and on our established RHMHM School at IAS Princeton and on RG, in many ways, have developed the curricular higher education culture within the family.
