ROCHESTER, NY, August 05, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Richard J. Quataert has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

For more than 50 years, Mr. Quataert has flourished as a fine arts photographer and cinematographer for film and television. After obtaining an associate degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1964, he was recruited by Eastman Kodak Company, with which he served as a cinematographer and producer for a myriad of commercials, travel segments and documentaries. During this period, Mr. Quataert traveled to over 35 countries while filming Kodak's "Multivision" mini-series, which eventually aired on the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).

Throughout the past 20 years, Mr. Quataert has found further success as a fine arts photographer and freelance artist. His work has been displayed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on several occasions as well as prominent galleries in Utah, Arizona and California. Mr. Quataert has also published two books, "Body of Work" and "Retrospective" while exhibiting his photographs at ARTISANworks, which is a nonprofit space that supports local artists in his home town of Rochester.

During his 30-year career at Kodak, Mr. Quataert received numerous awards on behalf of the aforementioned company in recognition of his prowess as a photographer. In 1984, the Council on International Nontheatrical Events (CINE) honored his various contributions to film and television with the prestigious Golden Eagle Award. He attributes his success to his perpetual desire to explore new artistic techniques. Currently, Mr. Quataert continues his roles as curator and board member while maintaining a permanent presence at ARTISANworks. He intends to continue evolving as an artist while searching for new ways to enhance the power of his uniquely emotive images.
