YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, NY, August 17, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sylvester M. Ndimele has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Ndimele obtained a Bachelor of Science in industrial chemistry from Olabisi Onabanjo University in 2009, whereupon he immigrated to the United States and earned a Master's degree in Public Health and an Advanced Certificate in Industrial Hygiene from New York Medical College in 2017. There, he studied the applications of environmental sciences, public health and the biomedical sciences to the study of environmental factors affecting human health and related ecological issues. During the same year, Mr. Ndimele received hazardous materials awareness training and concentrated on environmental and health topics required for registered environment health specialists at the Office of Continuing Professional Education of the Rutgers University of New Brunswick.
From 2010 until 2014, Mr. Ndimele obtained valuable experience as a science and mathematics teacher with the St. John Vianney School in Gurara, Nigeria. Furthermore, he worked in food preparation and as a concierge at the Chelsea Hotel of Abuja between 2010 and 2014. Following this period, Mr. Ndimele began his career in patient relations with Abbott House in Irvington, New York, where he prospered by promoting safe living environments for a special needs group, administering medication, first aid and training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and in using Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
During his employment with the Community Living Corporation in Mount Kisco from 2016 to 2019, Mr. Ndimele provided superior service as a direct support professional and assistant residence manager. He also administered medication, assisted patients to medical appointments and provided independent life skills training to special needs patients. Moreover, Mr. Ndimele provided assistance and instruction for medical residents in basic activities of daily living and provided training and support for each resident in accordance with individual program plans.
Mr. Ndimele subsequently flourished as a public health inspector with the New York City Department of Health and Hygiene from 2019 to 2020 and as a direct support professional with Community Based Services in North Salem beginning in 2016.
Furthermore, he assisted customers with daily tasks and the administration of prescribed medications, helped protect consumer information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and followed food and liquid consistency guidelines for a choking prevention initiative. In addition, since 2020, Mr. Ndimele has served his community as a public health sanitarian with the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program at Westchester County Department of Health, New Rochelle.
Mr. Ndimele attributes his success to his faith in God and upbringing on a farm, which required effort, creativity and innovation. Furthermore, he is most proud to have dedicated his career to helping people. Looking toward to the future, Mr. Ndimele intends to acquire a PhD in Public Health and become an educator.
