Additionally, Ms. Ross-Cunningham has excelled as a vice chair for the Lake County Board since 2018.
Passionate about serving her community, Ms. Ross-Cunningham has held chair positions for Lake County's law and judicial committee, diversity and inclusion committee, reapportionment committee and the Lake County Community Health Center governing council to focus on creating jobs and affordable housing. Additionally, she has been a member of committees for the Forest Preserve District and was involved with the Lake County Domestic Violence Council, the Urban Muslim Minority Alliance and the Lake County Sexual Assault Coordination Committee.
A trusted voice in her field, Ms. Ross-Cunningham has contributed numerous newsletters to the Chicago Daily Tribune. Some of her publications include her insights on property assessment and crime statistics, as well as redistricting, ethics and vaccinations for children. Ms. Ross-Cunningham has also made strides as the vice chair of the National Association of Counties economic development workforce board, having been appointed to the membership board of the National Association of Counties in 2021.
