Beginning his medical career in the emergency room as an EMT, Dr. Robinson was inspired to pursue a career in plastic surgery while aiding plastic surgeons in assisting trauma patients. He initially obtained a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in biology from the University of Arizona in 1981. Thereafter, he obtained a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 1985 and a master's degree in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1991. He completed a residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1991, a fellowship in Facial Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in 1992 and an internship at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in 1996. Dr. Robinson subsequently received medical licensure in the states of Georgia, Ohio, Kentucky, Minnesota and Arizona.
Dr. Robinson earned distinction as an investigator in evaluating the optimum microscopic pore size in relation to conduction of new bone formation through a polymerized lactic acid matrix. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to nearly 50 presentations, seven publications and various professional articles and journals. Furthermore, Dr. Robinson has maintained his affiliations with the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academies of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology, the American College of Surgeons, the Medical Association of Georgia and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
For his contributions in the field, Dr. Robinson is proud to have received a multitude of awards.
