PEMBROKE PINES, FL, September 27, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Frederick Lippman has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

For more than 18 years, Dr. Lippman has flourished as the Chancellor of the Health Professions Division (HPD) at Nova Southeastern University. Under his leadership, HPD has launched several new health professions programs, focused on multiple research programs. Leading researchers and faculty members from around the world developed a significant research laboratory facility. Prior to his initial recruitment as the vice president for pharmaceutical affairs in 1987, Dr. Lippman found remarkable success as a community pharmacist from the 1960's to the 1980's.

Alongside his administrative career, Dr. Lippman thrived as a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 1978 until 1998. During this period, he helped Florida become one of the first U.S. states to mandate the utilization of seat belts for children. Dr. Lippman also played a direct role in the creation of the Florida Area Health Education Centers Network, which strives to improve the supply and distribution of primary care providers in medically underserved areas through partnerships with academic health centers.

In 1986, the American Pharmaceutical Association selected Dr. Lippman to receive the Hubert H. Humphrey Award for Excellence in Pharmacy. He has also been bestowed with the Public Service Award from the United States Department of Transportation, the American Trauma Society's Distinguished Service Award and the Florida Pediatrics Society's Samuel P. Bell III Outstanding Child Advocate Award. Dr. Lippman attributes a great deal of his success to the mentorship of his two older brothers, one of whom enjoyed their own prosperous careers as a pharmacist and one as an educator. In addition to overseeing six colleges of medicine at Nova Southeastern University, he continues to maintain active affiliations with the Florida Research Consortium, the Florida Pharmacy Association, the American Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, the American Dental Association, the American Pharmaceutical Association, Florida Tax Watch and Broward Center of Performing Arts.
