ROSHARON, TX, November 09, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ryan R. Estrada has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Estrada initially obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston in 2004 before earning an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Valencia Community College in 2006, during which time he was featured on the Dean's List. He continued his education with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from the University of Central Florida in 2009 and Master of Education in School Counseling from Lamar University in 2014. Mr. Estrada eventually concluded his formal academic efforts through a Masters in Education in Advanced Studies with a concentration in Instructional Leadership and majored in Cognitive Sciences at the American College of Education in 2020.
Mr. Estrada started his teaching career as an Algebra I teacher with the Alief Independent School District in Houston, Texas from 2009 to 2011. Then, he instructed numerous Mathnasium learning centers in Memorial City, Texas and Orlando, Florida from 2011 to 2013, and Harmony Public Schools in Houston from 2013 to 2014. He volunteered in a college ready organization One Goal, in which he served as a program director, mentor and teacher in a magnet early college high school in Houston, Texas. Between 2014 and 2020, Mr. Estrada excelled as a Mathematics instructor with the Houston Independent School District, a tenure in which he taught college preparatory courses that greatly affected his students and mentored preservice and first year teachers on his campus.
Furthermore, Mr. Estrada worked as teacher representative for the shared decision-making committee from 2016 to 2018 at his campus. He additionally established the Falcon Ambassadors, a school-wide mentor program that brings upperclassmen together with freshmen to be successful in an early college environment. Since 2020, Mr. Estrada has been active as a middle school Mathematics instructor with the Fort Bend Independent School District in Missouri City, Texas where he taught virtual and face-to-face classes.
Certified in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education as well as in teaching Mathematics from grades four to 12 from the Texas Education Agency, Mr. Estrada accepted a Teacher Leader Award from Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor Society for Education in 2015. He was also presented with a New Teacher of the Year Award from the Houston Independent School District in 2015. Mr. Estrada cites his career highlight to have been his ability to maintain his well-being under occasionally stressful circumstances.
Mr. Estrada attributes his success to the people around him, such as his family, friends and colleagues in addition to his students, who encouraged him to become a better educator. Additionally, he believes that persistence plus dedication equals success. In the coming years, Mr. Estrada would like to become a professional counselor and a professor of psychology.
