MARTINSBURG, WV, November 12, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Samira Khan has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Khan notably obtained a Doctor of Medicine from American University of Antigua College of Medicine in 2011. She later completed a residency in general psychiatry at Albany Medical Center in New York. Dr. Khan later concluded her training through a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the School of Medicine at West Virginia University (WVU) in Morgantown, WV.

Dr. Khan currently provides exemplary service as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at WVU Berkeley Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV. Dr. Khan is an esteemed specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at West Virginia University, treating patients between the ages of two and 18 with a variety of illnesses such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Depression, Anxiety, substance abuse, and other behavioral concerns, as well as assisting with juvenile courts and foster families.

Dr. Khan attributes her success to the support of her parents and family. She is also incredibly grateful for the mentorship of her professors, colleagues and other physicians. In the coming years, Dr. Khan hopes to practice in underserved communities, educate families on the significance of mental health and eliminate the stigma associated with mental health treatment.
