The bright orange yolk of Chino Valley Ranchers cage free eggs was the inspiration behind the Comet Eggs concept, which entertains readers with a story of a recent discovery of more than 35 habitable space colonies "believed to have been supporting life since the mid-1960s."

The inside flap of the egg carton contains a statement from a fictional research scientist and lead author named Sienna Nichols who said, "We now know there was a previously unreported mission incident in the early 1960's involving a solar flare and gamma radiation. We don't know enough yet. It's almost too unbelievable to fathom and, frankly, I can't believe I'm typing this. The Russians launched the quail eggs; we launched the chickens. We left the chickens. The chickens survived. I still can't believe the chickens survived."

The White House, according to the story, "remains tight-lipped on the details of the discovery", but sightings of "small-scale projectiles entering the earth's atmosphere" continue to cause the public to wonder if the two discoveries are related.
