True Lacrosse Opens up Opportunities in Fredericksburg With New Merger

    FREDERICKSBURG, VA, December 10, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- True Lacrosse, the nation's premier lacrosse organization, is pleased to announce its newest partnership with FXBG Lacrosse.

"We are excited to be working with the FXBG organization and their team," explained Jake Deane, Co-owner and Founder of True Lacrosse. "We have many of the same core values when it comes to talking about the development of young youth and high school lacrosse players. Working together to raise the level of play and development in the Fredericksburg Virginia area is something we are both very passionate about."

This new partnership will forge new club opportunities with an enhanced experience, a more comprehensive training infrastructure with further travel opportunities, and an expanded base of professional, qualified coaches and directors that translates into better development of players. This merger will also provide a well developed recruiting network for those interested in playing collegiately. Another important piece to this partnership is True Lacrosse will welcome Coach Tyler Houston as the new Fredericksburg director.

Coach Houston has experience playing lacrosse at all levels starting when he was in 5th grade to college. Currently in his third year of coaching at the University of Mary Washington, Coach Houston is an avid supporter of club, recreational and travel lacrosse. Prior to coaching at UMW, Coach Houston served as the head coach of Fredericksburg Academy for two years and was the head of the lacrosse program, grades 6-12, for one year at Sayre School in Lexington, Kentucky. He has also spent the past seven years as the defensive coordinator for the Swiss National Lacrosse Team, coaching them in the 2016 European Championships in Budapest, Hungary and the 2018 World Games in Netanya, Israel. Tyler's knowledge of the local community and vast experience will make him a valuable asset as True's Director of Fredericksburg.

"I am ecstatic with the opportunities True will afford our local players. Growing up in Spotsylvania, I never really had the chance to play travel lacrosse. I had to commute to Springfield as it was the closest and most affordable option," Houston explained. "I realize now the effect that had on my lacrosse journey through recruiting. I had such limited exposure! True Lacrosse is the solution for many of our guys and girls who are in the same boat. However, the True product will not only serve the top talent in this area, but it will holistically grow the game at lower levels as well. As coaches we should all strive to give back more than we received from the game and I see True as my chance to provide more lacrosse, higher quality lacrosse, and more meaningful experiences to each and every player in this region."

Utilizing the True method, Houston will provide a comprehensive approach to establishing a firm foundation for players to grow their game. True Lacrosse is excited to continue building on what FXBG has created. By doing this, True Lacrosse will continue to provide the Fredericksburg lacrosse community with excellent training, instruction, and even more opportunities for competition and national exposure.
