Shincheonji Church of Jesus Grows 20,000 Members in One Year With Online Class: "The Secret is the Word"

More than 37,000 students enrolled in the Bible classes offered by Shincheonji after COVID-19 alone. People say that this "growth is possible only through the Word".

The unprecedented growth of Shincheonji Church of Jesus is contrary to most Christian church attendance, where membership has been decreasing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

GWACHEON, KOREA, December 30, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On the 26th, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony held an online graduation ceremony for the 112th Zion Christian Mission Center, producing nearly 20,000 new members of the church.

A total of 18,838 people (11,162 domestic and 7,676 overseas) participated in the 112th online graduation ceremony of the Zion Christian Mission Center, which was broadcast worldwide through the Shincheonji Church of Jesus YouTube channel at 9pm CST on December 25th. Zion Christian Mission Center is a Bible education center operated by Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

During the sermon at the graduation ceremony, Shincheonji Chairman Man Hee Lee emphasized that the creation of a new nation and new people is prophesied in the Bible in the book of Revelation, and that the graduates are the reality.

Chairman Lee fulfilled the prophecy about the sowing of the two seeds recorded in Jeremiah 31 at the first coming of Jesus, and at the time of the harvest, those who are born of the seed of God are God's sons, and are harvested and sealed to create 144,000 people from the 12 tribes according to the Bible.

He asked, "How many people in this global village are fully aware of this fact? Shincheonji means a new heaven and a new earth. According to the Bible, what we have harvested, how the Word was engraved in our hearts like a seal at the center, and what we created - the 12 tribes - were according to the Bible."

Tan Young-jin, president of the Zion Christian Center, said on the same day, "Shincheonji is not stopping its growth, and as time goes by, online evangelism is getting better. All members of the church are evangelizing through communication while thoroughly complying with the quarantine policy." He continued, "As a result of the prophecy and reality of the book of Revelation from the Chairman and the 12 tribe leaders all over the world, many churches and seminaries have signed an MOU with Shincheonji Church of Jesus and are requesting our lectures. The mission center elementary school will be witnessed worldwide. Please listen for yourself and see what God has promised for today."

Meanwhile, the number of graduates participating in Shincheonji's ceremony has been drastically different than growth seen other churches. This growth of Shincheonji Church of Jesus is contrary to most Christian church attendance, where membership has been decreasing during the COVID-19 pandemic, and is even unprecedented in the world, especially in that it was achieved only through online education.

The Zion Christian Mission Center produced 18,382 graduates last year. Since the complete cessation of face-to-face religious activities due to COVID-19, 37,220 people have completed the Bible education course online and officially joined the Shincheonji Church of Jesus this year.

Many have wondered the reason why the number of members of Shincheonji Church of Jesus is increasing like this after the outbreak of COVID-19. The church believes it is interpreted as a result of a life of faith centered on the words of the Bible. Many people who started studying realized the high-level Bible education provided by Shincheonji Church of Jesus and that it is even accessible through YouTube and other online means instead of face-to-face, which has been difficult due to the pandemic.

As various lectures are being held online, even pastors of different churches, who have been hesitant to participate in lectures or events of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, are actively attending, signing MOUs (Memorandums of Understanding) and requesting lectures from Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

An official from Shincheonji Church of Jesus said, "Across the world, more and more people are experiencing diseases, disasters, and hardships due to COVID-19, thinking deeply about the meaning of life and suffering, and needing religion. Religion must be able to provide answers to these people," he said. "In the religious world where face-to-face activities are limited, 'education of the Word' will become more important, and eventually, places with the words of the Bible will have no choice but to grow." He continued, "From January 3, the lecturers of the Zion Christian Mission Center will broadcast the Zion Christian Mission Center elementary course lectures on YouTube every Monday and Thursday. Please listen and judge for yourself."

Shincheonji Church's online seminar series will begin January 3rd, and be broadcasted Sundays and Wednesdays at 7pm CST on the official YouTube channel found here: https://www.youtube.com/c/ShincheonjiChurchofJesus
