David V. Hess, DO, has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Dr. Hess is recognized for his career in emergency medicine



David V. Hess has excelled as a clinical assistant professor for Michigan State University since 2014.

    MILFORD, MI, January 18, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David V. Hess, DO, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Initially, Dr. Hess earned a Bachelor of Science in clinical lab science from Weber State University in 2000 and a Doctor of Osteopathy from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of The Pacific in 2005. He later pursued an internship in emergency medicine in 2005 at Botsford Hospital and a residency in emergency medicine at Michigan State University-Statewide Campus System and Botsford Hospital in 2006. During his academic efforts, Dr. Hess was recognized as the Student of the Year at Weber State University and accepted the Dean's Award for Leadership in 2000.

Certified in emergency medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine in 2011, Dr. Hess began his career as a physician for Lakes Urgent Care from 2007 to 2009. During this time, he also worked as a staff physician for the emergency departments at Harbor Beach Community Hospital and Mckenzie Memorial Hospital. In 2009, Dr. Hess served as a physician for Emergency Medicine Specialists until 2011.

From 2016 to 2020, Dr. Hess was active as a medical director for Parastar, Community EMS and Beaumont mobile medicine. He also gained administrative experience as the assistant medical director, medical director and deputy medical director for Health Emergency Medical Services Western Wayne Medical Control Authority from 2017 to 2021. In 2009, Dr. Hess was recruited as a physician for Farmington Emergency Medicine Associates.

Dr. Hess has excelled as a clinical assistant professor for Michigan State University since 2014. He has also found success as the vice chairman of the department of emergency medicine at Beaumont Farmington Hills and the medical director for Superior EMS. As part of his dedication to his field, he is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and a fellow with the American College of Emergency Physicians. Looking toward the future, Dr. Hess plans to advance his career to a more administrative role while continuing to work with the local emergency services.
