CLAYTON, NC, January 18, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- ShaYanna Mungo Whitaker has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Whitaker did have a challenging childhood; however, the impediments in her environment did not deter her from her goals. She often says to herself, "hard and impossible are defined differently. I am a work in progress and can only learn. What is the next action I can take even though it seems hard now? Because I can imagine it, the idea is not impossible as long as I keep looking for a different angle to make progress on."

Dr. Whitaker initially obtained a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 2000 as a first generation graduate. She subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration in technology management from the University of Phoenix in 2006 and a Master of Business Administration in project management from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2011. She concluded her education with a Doctor of Management in organizational leadership from the University of Phoenix in 2018 while pregnant. Soon thereafter, Dr. Whitaker accrued her certification as an information systems security professional from Everblue in 2019.

Dr. Whitaker began her career as a change manager, ensuring that projects and change initiatives meet objectives on time and under budget by increasing employee adoption and usage with Bank of America from 2010 to 2013. Between 2013 and 2018, Dr. Whitaker was active as an IT security program manager with Deutsche Bank.

Furthermore, Dr. Whitaker was appointed as the information security project manager with NetApp in Raleigh-Durham in 2018 and an information technology project manager with Pharmaceutical Product Development in 2019. She was later recruited to the information technology support staff for IBM in 2020. Currently, Dr. Whitaker excels as an organizational consultant with The Institute for Dynamic Leaders in Clayton. Additionally, she has accepted her first adjunct professor role with the California Intercontinental University.

In her present position, Dr. Whitaker employs behavioral science to offer her clients professional development for teams, organization culture training and communication workshops to organizations with a diverse workforce. Dr. Whitaker proudly cites the influence of her mother as a key factor in her career success. Her mother insisted that humility be the cornerstone in her life. She was drawn to conflict mediation as early as the sixth grade, when she was appointed to a peer mediator position in her middle school class and encouraged classmates to talk through problems. In the immediate future, Dr. Whitaker is hoping for continued success as a consultant and coach to organizations which are interested in transforming rapport with internal customers while being industry leaders. Dr. Whitaker welcomes opportunities to serve on organizational board of directors.

Working to serve the needs of various organizational initiatives are not the only focus for Dr. Whitaker. She manages herself in demanding positions with companies that employ remote workers across the globe along with challenges of natural life. She has 3 children: Anaiya K. Whitaker (2003), Asher L. Whitaker (2017), and Ansen M. Whitaker (2019). Dr. Whitaker found that strategically focusing on incremental goals allowed her to accomplish 3 of her degrees and being an active parent. She was able to attend all her daughter Anaiya's sporting activities and concerts over the years and has the same goal for her toddler boys. Dr. Whitaker is a proud to celebrate Anaiya who is graduating from Johnston County Early College Academy (JCECA) in 2022 with 3 diplomas: high school, associate in science, and associate in arts.
