Mr. Cook is the president and owner of Continental Siding, a Class A general contracting home improvement company. From their exclusive and patented seamless polymer siding, quality windows and doors to seamless gutters, the business has grown exponentially since its inception in 1982 and now has three additional showrooms in Columbia and Springfield, Missouri as well as in Wichita, Kansas. Having purchased the aforementioned business from the original owner and his former business partner, Jerry O' Neal, Mr. Cook initially worked part-time with Continental Siding in 2009 while attending college. Soon thereafter, he managed every department, operated as a door-to-door marketer and product consultant and advanced to become a sales and marketing manager before being promoted to the post of general manager in 2014. Mr. Cook was later appointed as the president and became the minority shareholder between 2017 and 2018 before purchasing the remaining stock from Mr. O'Neal to become sole owner of Continental Siding on January 1, 2019. Mr. Cook went from part-time employee to owner in less than ten years, which is particularly impressive considering he is not related to the previous owner.

As he continues to grow the business, he plans to branch out regionally to be able to offer additional services to more customers. Mr. Cook attributes much of his success to having built a positive and engaging team culture where people can truly love their career. At just 35 years old, he remains true to his core values and has earned the respect of his employees, his customers, and other business leaders in the community. Mr. Cook's personal mantra is, "I care much more about how we do business than how much business we do," and he leads his team with that in mind.
Notably, Continental Siding has been recognized on several media outlets such as Fox 4 News, ION TV and NBC41 Action News due to its popularity and leadership in the community. They were also featured on season three of HGTV's "Bargain Mansions." Continental Siding is proud to be a member of the "Buy MO" program run out of the Lt. Governor's office and has run TV commercials in support of the program and to bring light to other local manufacturers. As a local manufacturer, Continental Siding wants to do what it can to support other local manufacturers.
To support his business and his community, Mr. Cook has also been active as a board member for the Independence Chamber of Commerce since 2020. He has likewise been recruited as a board member for Summit Park Church since 2019. Additionally, Mr. Cook has dedicated his time and/or resources to Mother's Refuge, the Community Services League, Harvesters and the City Union Mission.
Mr. Cook initially obtained an associate's degree in general studies at Johnson County Community College in 2008. He later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in communications at the University of Missouri in Kansas City in 2011.
In light of his contributions to his entrepreneurship and community efforts, Mr. Cook was recently honored with a Torch Award for Ethics in Business from the Better Business Bureau, and was a member of the 2021 class of 40 Under 40 from Ingram's Business Magazine. He was further celebrated as the Corporate Citizen of the Year by the Truman Heartland Community Foundation. Since Mr. Cook became owner, Continental Siding has been recognized as the Philanthropic Business of the Year by the Independence Economic Development Council, Business of the Year by the Independence Chamber of Commerce and earned the prestigious Integrity Award from the Better Business Bureau. Moreover, Mr. Cook was named as a Community Leader for his efforts in leading through the COVID-19 pandemic and has most recently been recognized as the Board Member of the Year from the Independence Chamber of Commerce.
