There are numerous credible sources supporting the need for companies to reinvent themselves in an age of disruption. For example, "The Washington Post" recently published a story on the "Great Resignation" of American workers in which over four million workers or approximately three percent of the nation's entire working population quit their jobs in August of 2021. Next, the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) has stressed the pandemic has greatly changed the way in which firms must now manage—and retain—employees, particularly key individuals. Finally, the management consulting firm McKinsey & Company has reported on the global impact of the growing crisis in the supply chain management sphere that has created rapidly rising prices and dwindling supply versus growing demand for products.
Other less-considered but critical factors such as the growing global skills gap, the rapidly aging world population, various geopolitical challenges in Asia and elsewhere, and low Covid-19 vaccination rates—especially in developing countries—have all negatively impacted global economics and trade at least in the mid-term. "All these factors require truly creative thinking and relevant corrective action for firms to remain sustainable in this century," said Christiansen who has published 36 Reference books for university libraries on subjects that resonate with the present worldwide situation.
Impruve's business process with clients begin with a 15-question initial consulting engagement free-of-charge with C-level executives.
