NEVADA, OH, February 01, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- An Upper Sandusky family has built an upscale wedding venue on their farmland just outside of Nevada, Ohio. The Gottfried family, owners of Ohio Family Farms, has had a vision for the venue ever since their grandfather landscaped an unused portion of some of their farmland, adding Koi fish ponds and a stunning log cabin.

While several couples had been married on the property, it wasn't until 2020 when the Gottfried family broke ground on an official venue constructing a 10,000 square foot event space boasting floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pond and willow tree. The venue offers a full bar with beer on tap, a lounge, bridal and honeymoon suite, and can host up to 350 people.

"We knew when we were designing the venue, we wanted to showcase the hard work that our grandparents had already done on the property. We were lucky that we already had mature landscaping that my brother, Wade, was able to expand on with lily ponds, bridges, and waterfalls," said Walker Gottfried, one of the owners of Everhart Gathering Place along with his two siblings.

Danielle (Gottfried) McWilliams moved back after living in Colorado, Michigan, and Delaware, Ohio to become the event manager of Everhart Gathering Place.

"After being gone for 20 years, I wasn't sure what to expect moving my family back and managing the venue. It's been wonderful to see how much talent is already local that we can hire and use as our preferred vendors," said Danielle McWilliams.

The Gottfrieds were very purposeful with keeping the venue local. The finishes at the cabin were done by Brock Rieser and team (Wyandot County) at Upper Construction. The electrical work was completed by Mike Dishon (Wyandot County) of Owens Electric. Kimmel's Cleaners of Upper Sandusky handles all the laundering, and the website was designed by a former resident of Upper Sandusky as well. The Preferred Vendor list is made up of predominantly people and businesses of Wyandot County.

"As a professional wedding photographer, it's always exciting to have new venues for weddings, but Everhart blew me away. Not only is it absolutely stunning inside and out, but the owners are a dream to work with," said Jessica Karcher, owner of Jessica Karcher photography of Kirby, Ohio.

Everhart Gathering Place has already expanded its reach booking couples from all over Ohio and neighboring states such as Michigan and Indiana and bringing in a couple currently residing in California. These events have the opportunity to bring in large-scale economic growth to Wyandot County.

Experts in the community have already taken notice. "Everhart Gathering Place is a beautiful new staple bringing countless dollars into our Wyandot County Community with each event it hosts," said Greg Moon, the Executive Director of Wyandot County Office of Economic Development.
