Thus, for the last 7 years, Dr. Martinez has been proudly serving as the medical director of the Tucson residential programs of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, a nationally leading company in mental health.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Martinez Castelo first sought a medical education at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in 2001, where he earned a Doctor of Medicine. After immigrating to the United States from his native Mexico, he completed his general adult psychiatry residency program and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Arizona in 2013. During his work there, he was honored with the opportunity to work extensively providing services to veterans at the Tucson VA. Eminently qualified in his field, Dr. Martinez Castelo was certified to practice psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Inc. in 2014.
To remain aware of developments affecting his field, Dr. Martinez Castelo has maintained his affiliation with a number of pertinent organizations, including the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Academy of American Psychiatry. Looking toward the future, Dr. Martinez Castelo hopes to expand his private practice with different support services and provide more extensive assistance for his clients.
