Finding her niche in physician practice management, Ms. Spielman has excelled as the senior vice president and chief operating officer for UTHealth Neurosciences at UTHealth Houston since 2018. In her present role, she partners with her Chairmen to provide executive and operational leadership, administratively overseeing an expansive organization of physicians, providers, trainees, research faculty and staff. She provides leadership for strategic planning, programmatic growth and determining how to provide the best care and experience for patients. Ms. Spielman also manages the finance, clinical operations, quality and performance improvement and marketing and business development for UTHealth Neurosciences.
Ms. Spielman was honored for her leadership as one of the Women in Business for Houston Business Journals in 2017. Moreover, she received a National Diversity of Houston Power 50 Award in 2018. In 2021, Ms. Spielman was celebrated among the Top 50 Health Care Professionals by the National Diversity Council.
An expert in executive leadership over a large platform, Ms. Spielman was inspired to go into the field of healthcare after a life-threatening injury and she is dedicated to help people who are suffering from illness or injury.
