BUENA, NJ, February 15, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lydia E. Rosa Munoz, LCSW, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With determination to make an impactful difference in the lives of struggling families, Ms. Munoz pursued a career as a social worker. She obtained a bachelor's degree from Shaw University in 1977 and a Master of Social Work from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in 1979. She also completed postgraduate coursework at the Family Institute in Philadelphia.

As a licensed clinical social worker, Ms. Munoz has found success as the visionary chief executive officer of the Spanish Community Center since 1974 and has become a well-established pillar within her community. When she founded the agency, she worked for two years without salary until it became a profitable and useful resource and linchpin for the community. At the Spanish Community Center, she is tasked with overseeing daily operations, training employees and performing clinical work, anger management and parenting.

Throughout her career, Ms. Munoz has been called upon as a field instructor, helping students pursuing their master's degrees. Likewise, she has worked as a certified social worker for the Atlantic County Special Services School District from 1995 to 2011. She is a member of the National Association for Social Workers and has devoted her time to causes such as United Way and has served on many county and state boards representing the Latino community. Notably, in 2021, she was presented with an award from the executive director of the agency for which she works in recognition of her contributions to her community.

Ms. Munoz attributes her success to her advocacy for others and to having worked to provide opportunities and resources for those in need, particularly in the Latino community. Likewise, she attributes her success to the support of her mother and brother. Looking to the future, Ms. Munoz, a staunch advocate for the present and future needs of the community, is mentoring and training a master's degree program student who will eventually take over her position as the chief executive officer of the Spanish Community Center.
