Driven by a love of education and giving back to others, Ms. Han-G has excelled as founding owner and director of the Legacy Tutoring Center since 2018, which provides in-person and virtual one-on-one tutoring services in all subjects for kindergarten through 12th grade students, as well as adult learners. In addition to teaching adults the fundamentals of calculus, finance and engineering, she teaches nearly 40 students, offers summer camps and spring break camps that involve STEAM activities, and maintains ongoing communication with parents and teachers. She also currently works at Plato Academy Clearwater as a middle school math teacher and with adult education department within St. Petersburg College campus in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Han-G gained valuable expertise in the field of education as a high school principal and school principal for kindergarten through eighth grade for Plato Academy in Largo, Florida. Additionally, she has worked as an AP teacher for Plato Academy, a mathematics teacher, team lead, department team lead, assistant principal and student services director for the Plato Academy Charter School in Clearwater, Florida, and a middle school mathematics teacher for Westlake Christian School, Trinity Christian School, Saint Bernadette School and First Christian Academy. She has been teaching since 1998.
An expert in her field, Ms. Han-G received a bachelor's degree in public health from Southern Connecticut State University in 1994, a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix in 2005 and a Master of Education in educational leadership and administration from the University of West Florida in 2016. Due to her outstanding body of work, she was thrice inducted into the Dunedin Business Hall of Fame for being the Best of Dunedin in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Although her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Han-G is most proud of being able to open her doors to all who needed her company's tutorial services even during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Looking ahead, Ms. Han-G aims to obtain an administrative role, increase her online presence and establish a second location for the Legacy Tutoring Center.
