FORT WORTH, TX, February 24, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Progressive Rising Phoenix Press is honored to announce the release of Stranger in the Mushroom Patch, the fourth installment of The Mischief Series. The delightful adventure fairy series whisks kids into an enchanted world as they enter the lives of Lilly, Boris, and Jack, three young fairies in training. Guided by the elders, the three young fairies encounter numerous adventures with their friends.

The themes of kindness, friendship, respect, loving care, loyalty, and the innocence of childhood or fairlinghood, are woven into every book's pages. The series is written for independent readers, second through fourth grade, but can be enjoyed read-aloud chapter by chapter as a bedtime story.

In her latest installment, Stranger in the Mushroom Patch, who knew a slimy moss bomb war between friends would lead to an adventure of a lifetime! From strategizing with the elders for their playful battle to, of all things, escaping the clutches of a human! It doesn't take long to learn the fairies shockingly have more in common with the child they've encountered than they ever could have imagined.

What people are saying
"What a delightful story! I loved the themes of kindness, friendship, respect, loving care and guidance of the elders, and the innocence of childhood or fairlinghood, woven into every page. With the wise and protective elders leading the way, handling the unexpected and frightening encounter with a totally different being (a human child!) was a model of teamwork, problem-solving, courage, and working through fears of the unknowns to help someone in need. I will definitely be recommending this book to my elementary teacher friends and parents of young ones." - Chris Mills

Of Mischief in the Mushroom Patch, John Beavin, Author of The Parable of the Stars, stated, "I feel this book is destined to be a children's classic because of Amanda Thrasher's gift for resolving any situation with courage and kindness."

Kristi Lipscomb, Teacher, and Parent said of A Fairy Match in the Mushroom Patch, "I fell in love with Jack, Boris, and Lilly in this charming story. The caring and gentle manner in which they approached the joys and challenges of life was refreshing. Boys and girls will come away from this story with a positive and encouraging way of relating to friends and life situations."

Of Spider Web Scramble, A Mischief Book, Lisa Keefer Robinson, National Safety Council, said, "Often books that include special need characters teach others about the disability, pointing out the differences between them and the others, but not this one. Amanda wove a beautiful, magical story with a very special fairy; Pearle is precious. How Lilly, Boris, and Jack, unite in such a loving way to assist Pearle through the exciting spider web scramble, proves yet again that friendship, loyalty, and goodness, bring all together regardless of a disability in equality."

Spider Web Scramble earned the prestigious Mom's Choice Award®. The MCA evaluation process uses a propriety methodology in which entries are scored on a number of elements including production quality, design, educational value, entertainment value, originality, appeal, and cost. Having been rigorously evaluated by a panel of MCA evaluators, Spider Web Scramble is deemed to be among the best products for families. Stranger in the Mushroom Patch will also be evaluated by the MCA.
