Ms. Jones began her career in insurance as a bodily injury adjuster for Liberty Mutual after graduating from college. After several years in the field, she went back to school and acquired a law degree and worked for three different firms that specialized in insurance defense. Despite her success, Ms. Jones ultimately decided that she would be much happier fighting for the people rather than insurance companies, so she decided to use her tenured background to establish her own firm to represent the people.
An alumnus of the University of Central Florida, Ms. Jones acquired a bachelor's degree in business management and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration and a Doctor of Jurisprudence at Stetson University's College of Law. While in law school, she participated in numerous competitions with the number one trial advocacy team in the country where she was often recognized for her advocacy skills. Ms. Jones has been admitted to practice in both Indiana and Illinois, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.
In 2016, Ms. Jones authored a peer-reviewed journal article titled "The Fragile Balance of Power and Leadership." She currently retains professional alignment with the Women Lawyers Association and the Lake County Bar Association (the second largest bar association in the state of Indiana) and was the Lake County Bar Association's President in 2021.
As Ms. Jones' firm continues to grow, she aims to take on a second attorney to assist with cases. Hoping to hire a female to fulfill that role, she believes in maintaining a flexible work environment, one where women such as herself can enjoy a successful career in law and still have time to be present at home with their families.
To celebrate her success, Ms. Jones was recognized as an Indiana Rising Star by Super Lawyers and as a Top 20 Under 40 by The Times Media. More recently, she received an Indiana Lawyer Leadership in Law Award in 2021.
