Investing much of her free time in restoring her creditworthiness, she discovered that she was not alone. She soon realized that if she could do this for herself - she could do the same for many others. Starting slow, Mrs. Walker began helping relatives and friends and eventually began acquiring paying customers through word-of-mouth advertising.

Equally devoted to her community, she co-founded the Margaret Clinard Outreach Foundation, a nonprofit organization that focuses on indigent women and children of the Triad area.
