For over two decades, Victoria Filippov Nemeth has led an extensive career in the field of legal service. She initially pursued an education at the University of Houston, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in 1996, and earning a Juris Doctor from the South Texas College of Law in 1999. As a commitment to her field, Mrs. Nemeth has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association and the Delta Theta Phi fraternity.
Victoria began her legal career in 2000, working as an associate for a boutique Houston firm of Ireson & Weisel, PLLC where she handled coverage litigation. She formed her own litigation practice Filippov & Associates, P.C. in 2002, specializing in commercial litigation. From 2002 through 2011, she assisted other Houston law firms with litigation defense in such prominent Texas cases as Enron and Deepwater Horizon, handled healthcare and pharmaceutical litigation earning 100% success rate in preventing every client from being found liable, and led e-Discovery projects. In addition to Litigation, Mrs. Filippov Nemeth garnered experience in Business Law, Business Immigration, Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Mergers & Acquisitions. After working as a general counsel for an oil and gas startup Production Partners, LLC, Mrs. Filippov Nemeth formed Filippov Law Group, PLLC to bring accessible outside counsel services to mid-size businesses. Since 2013, she has served as an outside corporate counsel for various Texas entities. She currently serves as a general counsel at PPI Quality and Engineering LLC and T2 Utility Engineers, Inc., while concurrently working as an outside corporate counsel for PetroQuip Energy Services, LLC and Mechanical Testing Services, LLC.
Noted for her achievements in the field of business law, Victoria has received multiple awards, including an AV Preeminent Rating via Martindale Hubbell, the Thomson Reuters Corporation award, the Houstonia Magazine Top Lawyers award, and National Diversity Council Top 50 General Counsel award to only name a few. She attributes much of her success to her strong work ethic and passion for helping people. Long dedicated to civic advocacy, she has served as a member at the Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas, where she donates a minimum of 75 hours each year to serving the underprivileged Texas community.
Outside of law, Victoria serves as a co-founder and director on the Board of Chester Street Foundation, a Texas 501(c)3 nonprofit providing educational programs for the benefit of children who have experienced childhood trauma. She also trains at Alliance Fencing Academy as a competitive US Vet Epee Fencer. Fencing helps Victoria with maintaining mental acuity and physical agility necessary to stay alert, fit and motivated.
