Since 2007, Mr. Anglin has thrived as an attendant counselor for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. He specializes in providing mental health counseling services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Mr. Anglin also regularly composes and implements individual habilitation plans and actively contributes to the training and evaluation of new recruits.
Prior to his appointment by the aforementioned department, Mr. Anglin excelled as the owner of a janitorial business for more than 15 years. During this period, he additionally earned a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies from the University of Washington. While obtaining his degree, Mr. Anglin notably participated in the Associated Students of the University of Washington, which serves as a democratic voice for the Tacoma-based institution's student body and engages the campus community through various advocacy programs and leadership initiatives.
In 1997, the University of Washington selected Mr. Anglin for a Gift of Service Award in recognition of his years of continuous professional service. Alongside his positive outlook, he attributes a great deal of his success to his tenacious and persistent approach to his work. In the coming years, Mr. Anglin intends to compose a book and resume his education while continuing to provide mental health services in a consulting capacity.
