A Registered Nurse, Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN), and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Dr. Sinogui presently excels as a CSC Stroke Coordinator and quality nurse consultant for Kaiser Permanente. In her dual roles, she works in collaboration with local and regional stroke teams to ensure they are implementing new Joint Commission and American Heart Association/American Stroke Association guidelines and initiatives. Likewise, Dr. Sinogui assists in the coordination of local community stroke awareness projects and community education and supports regional research initiatives.
Alongside her work, Dr. Sinogui serves as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Neuroscience Nursing, reviewer for the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Professional Education Lifelong Learning Activity Review Committee, and a member of the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Stroke Narrator Committee. During an earlier stage of her career, she gained valuable expertise as a nurse, nursing assistant and as an educator with such institutions as the Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation, the University of Phoenix and San Joaquin Delta College.
Before embarking on her professional journey, Dr. Sinogui earned an Associate of Science in biology and an Associate of Arts in liberal arts and sciences from San Joaquin Delta College, through which she also earned an Associate of Science in Nursing. Following this accomplishment, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through Jacksonville University, a Master of Science in Nursing via the University of Phoenix and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Grand Canyon University.
Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. Sinogui aligns herself with the American Association of Neuroscience Nursing's national and Greater Sacramento chapters, National Society of Leadership and Success, the Sigma Theta Tau International Nu Upsilon and Omicron Delta chapters, and the American Nurses Association. Outside of her work, she dedicates her time to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, and American Cancer Society, the Union Tehama 3 Masonic Lodge, and through several community volunteer endeavors at Kaiser Permanente.
Due to her vast breadth of professional knowledge, Dr. Sinogui has contributed a plethora of abstract articles on behalf of the Journal of the American Heart Association. For this, and other accomplishments, she received two Raise the Roof Awards through Kaiser Permanente, through which she also earned a First Place Poster Award for Depression Screening. While her career has been filled with highlights, she is most proud to have made history within the stroke community and serves as a resource in her field. Looking toward the future, Dr. Sinogui aims to publish more of her quality improvement initiatives and research, conduct additional conference presentations, and share her work on performance improvement projects with stroke patients on an international level.
