HAVERTOWN, PA, April 19, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Hwaseob Lee has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. A South Korea native, Mr. Lee earned his bachelor's degree in oceanography from Korea Naval Academy and served as a Korea Navy guided weapons and combat system officer. Back in 2012, Mr. Lee was nominated by Korea Navy to cultivate a specialty in the optics and photonics field. After selecting the University of Delaware as his institution of choice, he quickly began harboring a penchant for electrical engineering and electromagnetics. Combining his operational background in a radar system with these academic studies, he currently excels as a Doctor of Philosophy candidate at the aforementioned institution.
Prior to his doctoral endeavors, Mr. Lee earned a Master of Science from the University of Delaware in 2018. He is currently researching topological photonics, specially striving to harness the inter-modal coupling in Silicon microring resonator by carefully design the topology of his device. Regarding his research, he contributed to several publications and presented them in CLEO conferences correspondingly.
Mr. Lee has been honored as an inductee into the Optical Society of America, an organization which bestowed upon him the Incubic Milton Chang Travel Grant for CLEO in 2020. Other than that, he has received a full tuition scholarship from the University of Delaware College of Engineering since 2018, before which his graduate study was supported by South Korea Navy scholarship. Mr. Lee plans to continue his research as an optics and photonics specialist in South Korea Navy, return to his country and share his academic knowledge once he graduates with his doctoral degree.
