Prior to beginning his career, Mr. Bennis completed active duty in the United States Army for six years. He then served as an infantry officer for the New York National Guard 1st Battalion 69th INF and 27th Brigade for 12 years. He later earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a minor in finance from Mount Saint Mary College in 2010. Since 2019, he has excelled as an analyst for BJ Concepts.

In his present role, he is a command post integrator, which includes fielding and integration of different support platforms for platoon to theater army corps level. To support his community, Mr. Bennis works with American Veterans and has previously been voted as the Post Commander for Post 8691 of Veterans of Foreign Wars and has been voted to every position but quartermaster.
Priding himself on his strong work ethic and his motivated drive to succeed, Mr. Bennis also credits his success to his commitment to broadening his knowledge and expanding his skills throughout his career. His goal is to work in the Pentagon or to be involved in making policy plans and strategies in the United States Department of the Army. He also intends to eventually become an assistant deputy secretary of defense for the United States Army.
