An African-American Mother/Daughter Production Company is On Track to do Amazing Things in the Film Industry

She's a Beast Films Award-Winning Documentary "Quarantine" Will Be Screening at the San Diego Black Film Festival



    SAN DIEGO, CA, April 24, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "Quarantine: A Visual Documentary," an award-winning film created by She's a Beast Films, has been selected for the San Diego Black Film Festival. This is the first-ever film released by She's a Beast Films, sharing an up-front and artfully crafted depiction of how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the United States in 2020. "Quarantine" is a documentary short film made in collaboration with Clazzmates, a jazz band from Detroit who recently relocated to Phoenix. Clazzmates provided the music for "Quarantine" while She's a Beast Films developed the visuals and spoken word. So far, the film has won the award for Best Documentary Short Film at the Las Vegas Premiere Film Festival and received honorable mentions for editing at the Black Panther Films Festival and the Global Shorts Film Festival.

She's a Beast Films is a production company run by an African-American mother-daughter team based out of Tempe, Arizona. Safiya Andrews, currently in film school at Grand Canyon University, is a writer, producer, and editor for She's a Beast Films. Her daughter, Soraya Andrews, is a writer, director, and editor for the company. Together, they share their talents with the world through the production of compelling visual masterpieces.
