Kimberly Clisbee began her martial arts journey as a teen and enjoyed an illustrious ten-year career that led to a third-degree blackbelt and induction into the World Martial Arts Federation's Martial Arts Hall of Fame. The studio she worked for provided martial arts instruction for Muslim children being victimized because of 9111 and sparked her interest in international cultures and politics.
The events of 9/11 also drove Ms. Clisbee's desire to join the FBI and she began her collegiate journey that lead to a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Behavioral Science with an emphasis in homeland security through Purdue University Global. Over the years, she also obtained a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Behavioral Science with expertise in global-related issues and criminal justice research and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Philosophy from Walden University. Kimberly never did make it to the FBI. Instead, she became a philosopher in criminal justice and law enforcement with an emphasis on global politics so she could help make a difference both nationally and internationally. While pursuing a Ph.D. in criminal justice and behavioral science and a Doctorate of Law in Public Policy Administration at Walden University, Ms. Clisbee works as a home health aide for ASAP Nursing and Staffing Agency. She is also conducting her second quantitative study on prison reform and writing two books.
In order to expand upon her skill set, she has garnered several certifications in higher education, business innovation, artificial intelligence, CPR, and health care through such institutions as MIT Sloan School of Management, the California Department of Public Health, and HarvardX.
Ms. Clisbee remains aware of changes in the field via her professional affiliation with the National Society of Leadership and Success, the Golden Key International Honor Society, the Society for Collegiate Leadership and Achievement, Alpha Sigma Phi, and Alpha Beta Kappa's Delta Zeta chapter, to name a few. She is also a writer, a research scientist, and an advocate for the disabled population. She has been fighting for the civil rights of disabled children for the past decade; she convinced her city to put adaptive swings in the local parks and changed school policies. She noted, "I am aggressive about my fight to create awareness and improve legislation that protects both the human and medical rights of disabled children." In the coming years, Ms. Clisbee aims to become an established college professor and work in public policy.
