Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Held for New Beginnings "Women's Empowerment House" in Boston, MA



    BOSTON, MA, April 28, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- New Beginnings Reentry Services, Inc., has officially opened the first Residential "Women's Empowerment House" dedicated to empowering and providing reentry services to formerly incarcerated women. The recently acquired Reentry House, an elegant Victorian five-bedroom three-story building will be the new home for 10 formerly incarcerated women who would be at risk of homelessness after release from incarceration.

The ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony which attracted throngs of community supporters was held on April 19, 2022. Stacey Borden, President and Founder of New Beginning Reentry Services, said, "We are excited to finally hold this grand opening ceremony and open our doors to deliver evidence-based treatment and supervision programs for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women."

The Ribbon cutting, which was performed by Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, Ms. Stacey Borden, Senator Sonia Diaz, Rep Tyler Chyna, Rep Liz Miranda and City Council at Large Ruthzee Louijeune was witnessed by an energized audience consisting of city officials, community leaders, civic organizations, friends, and family members.

The event which was filled with inspiration, passion and excitement demonstrates NBRS Founder's vision and ongoing commitment to reduce recidivism by providing evidence-based services for women to reenter local communities and neighborhoods successfully. Congresswoman Pressley, Founder & President Stacey Borden, Senator Sonia Diaz, Rep. Miranda delivered powerful speeches at this memorable event.

In addition to transitional housing, the NBRS "Women Empowerment House" will provide a wide range of services including case management, job readiness, trauma recovery, wellness, psycho-drama and expressive therapy.
