To prepare for his career, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy in criminal justice from Suffield University #2005 Summa Cum Laude. Well-qualified in his field, he is a licensed firearm instructor, security contractor and private detective with the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation/Illinois State Police/Utah Department of Public Safety/Illinois Local Governmental Law Enforcement Officers Training Board. He has also worked as a private detective instructor and firearm training instructor since 1990. Exercising his skills in his field, as a Professor/Educator City of Chicago @ Malcolm X Colleges. Dr. Menser authored The Professional Private Investigator Training Manual in January 2013.
In 2006, Dr. Menser became the president, founder and chief executive officer of his own company, Menser Security and Detective Training Agency Inc. In this capacity, he hired and trains individuals in becoming private investigators, and provides firearm instruction in the field for armed security officer and concealed carry license holders for Illinois/ Utah/Florida. For his work in training law enforcement officers, Dr. Menser was honored with annual recognition from the City of Chicago Council Alderman 34th Ward Carrie M. Austin #2006. Chicago Award Program for Best Security Guard & Patrol Service for seven consecutive years from 2012 to 2019. The County Clerk of the County of Cook State of Illinois by David D. Orr in August 2005. Dr. Menser is a second-degree black belt instructor Nidan who also trains private citizens in self-defense.
Having cultivated a passion for helping people since his youth, and his lifelong childhood dream to become a business owner and an author, Dr. Menser prides himself on maintaining a positive attitude when interacting with others. His communication and service skills have led to his company being successful for more than 15 years. Looking toward the future, Dr. Menser intends to retire, leaving the company to his two daughters Shante' and Jasmine.
