Next Charlotte Celebrates 29 Minority Businesses Creating New Legacies and Transforming Excellence in Entrepreneurship

    CHARLOTTE, NC, May 03, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- NeXT Charlotte (NXT CLT) will celebrate 29 Black and Indigenous People of Color business owners on Thursday, May 12, 2022 who successfully completed the NXT CLT 18-month immersive learning program accelerating business growth, build multi-million dollar businesses, bridge the gap and create generational wealth.

The keynote speaker for the reception, is Ann McNeill, President/CEO MCO Construction, a multi-million dollar construction company valued in excess of $110 million. Ms. McNeil is the founder of the National Association of Black Women in Construction and has been featured in Black Enterprise Magazine, USA Today and on ABC World News.

Damany Lewis, morning anchor for Charlotte's WSOC Channel 9 Morning News, will be the host MC.

"NeXT Charlotte is unique in that our cohort business leaders move into our Immersive Mentoring Phase for the second 6 months of our Initiative. Here they develop an assigned mentor/mentee relationship with a seasoned business leader. The cohort business leaders also participate in peer to peer mentoring with their fellow cohort members. NeXT Charlotte continues to provide support and access to workshops, webinars and events with the help and support of our partners and sponsors. The result is an organically grown support network of Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) business leaders connected through NeXT Charlotte into a burgeoning Entrepreneurial Ecosystem of cohort business leaders," said Eric Lewis, Executive Director.

"The purpose for the event is to raise awareness about NeXT Charlotte, celebrate businesses that completed the program and provide information to businesses who are seeking strategies that will help them grow and scale their businesses into a multi-million dollar legacy enterprise company."

NXT | CLT is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Charlotte, NC whose mission is to equip and support BIPOC-owned businesses in the achievement of their "NeXT" level of growth, scalability, and legacy wealth building.

Designed in response to a lack of opportunities and barriers to entry for Black-owned businesses in the City of Charlotte, what began as a "program" piloted with the city has grown into a stand-alone organization focused on creating long-term sustainability and success for businesses that are owned by Black and Indigenous People of Color.
