She also earned a Master's in Dance from Kalaikaviri affiliated with Bharathidasan University. During the early stages of her career, she gained valuable expertise as a defense contractor for Lockheed Martin, where she remained active between 2000 and 2006. She founded Indian-Fusion Dance Academy in 2006 and co-founded InFUSE Educational Services in 2018. Outside of her work in formal education, Ms. Pragasam channels a love of dance into her work as creative director of the Indian-Fusion Dance Academy, and as the founder and artistic director of the Kalanityam School of Bharathanatyam, based in San Jose, California. In a career that has been filled with highlights, she is most proud to have been selected by her dance school to represent them at the Vatican; she was one of seven people selected to go and perform in front of Pope John Paul II in 1987. Other standout moments include winning several competitions and awards, connecting with her students and improving others' lives through dance.
