    HOLTSVILLE, NY, May 12, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dianna D'Amico has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Drawing on over a decade of experience, Ms. D'Amico specializes in Culinary Arts Education. Prior to embarking on her professional ventures, she pursued an education at Empire State College, a part of the State University of New York system from which she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Community and Human Services in 2013. Moreover, Ms. D'Amico is certified in Culinary Education, Career and Technical Education of Commercial Art Instruction and Family and Human Services Cluster Instruction by the New York State Department of Education, as well as holding a credential in Family and Consumer Sciences in the area of Human Services, issued by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.

Ms. D'Amico began her career as a Special Education Paraprofessional at Sachem Central School District from 2006 to 2010. Between 2010 and 2015, she worked as the Program Director of Popcorn Love Sweet Treat Outreach, while concurrently serving as a Case Manager at Help Suffolk Homeless Shelter in 2013, and as a Community Coordinator at Eastern Suffolk Boards of Cooperative Educational Services located at The Centereach Academic Center from 2014 to 2016. Ms. D'Amico had also contributed to the New York City Department of Education at Rikers Island Correctional Facility in 2016.

Since 2016, Ms. D'Amico has excelled as a Culinary Arts Instructor at the School for Cooperative Technical Education at the Canarsie Campus in Brooklyn. In this capacity, she is responsible for educating young adults with unique learning styles and credit deficiencies on such topics as finances, nutrition, career paths, healthy relationships and responsible life choices, all while engaging in all aspects of the Culinary Arts. Additionally, Ms. D'Amico has been affiliated with the National Organization for Human Services, the United States Personal Chefs Association, the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, the National Board of Teaching Standards and the Eastern Suffolk Boards of Cooperative Educational Services Equity and Diversity Committee.

Esteemed for her contributions to the field, Ms. D'Amico has received multiple accolades, including a Commendation for Online Learning from the New York State Department of Education, a Commendation for serving on the Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Committee and a Commendation from the New York State Senator Kirsten Gillibrand for creating the 45 Pies in 45 Days Initiative. Long dedicated to civic advocacy, she volunteers her time and services to the United Community Center in East New York as a children's face painter, supports Toys for Tots as a local drop off location, and a creative director of Popcorn Love, an outreach initiative catering homemade baked goods for holidays and special occasions. Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. D'Amico is most proud of establishing the 45 Pies in 45 Days Initiative, a campaign supporting food equity providing over 500 pies in the days leading up to Thanksgiving for families in need.

Ms. D'Amico attributes much of her success to her faith in God, and to the support of her family, including her parents, Paul and Ella, her sisters, Michelle and Lisa, her husband, Nelson. her daughter, Starr, and her Uncle Carmine. Whenever she faces a challenge, her family believes in her ability to persevere. Looking toward the future, she aspires to expand the scope of her career by advancing to the role of a coordinator or director of a public school based program that incorporates culinary arts, music, fine arts and social and emotional learning designed to create unconventional pathways in education that result in happiness and success for all students.
