    CONYERS, GA, June 08, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Myra Denise Wann, Ed.S., has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

An expert in elementary and middle grade education, Mrs. Wann served as a dedicated teacher for more than 25 years. To prepare for her career, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English in 1974 and a Master of Education in Middle Grades in 1977, both from Mercer University. Well qualified in her profession, Mrs. Wann held T-6 certifications in Secondary English, Elementary Grades PreK through fifth, and Middle Grades 4 through 8.

After completing her undergraduate studies, Mrs. Wann became a teacher on behalf of DeKalb County Schools between 1974 and 1990, during which time she taught classes in the subjects of language arts, reading, social studies, mathematics, science, art, music, and computer skills. To expand upon her expertise in her field, she attained an Educational Specialist degree from Mercer University in 1992, with concentrations in English/Language Arts and Math. Following this accomplishment, she became a teacher in Newton County Schools (2000-2006) and Rockdale County Schools from 2006 until her retirement in 2011.

Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, Mrs. Wann has served as a Cub Scout leader for Pack 354 from 1996-2000, an Assistant Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America Troop 354 since 2000, and for a brief time she served as an adult leader for the Civil Air Patrol Unit in Covington, GA 2001-2003. She has spent much of her career committed to providing the education and resources her students needed, focusing not only on school subjects, but life skills as well. This philosophy led to her success and her high value in her community.

Now retired, Mrs. Wann enjoys spending time with her husband of 51 years, Robert; her adult son, Matthew; and her Australian Shepherd, Savannah. She spends her free time writing, painting, and Bible journaling. Looking towards the future, Mrs. Wann hopes to publish various written works she has been developing, including several children's books and a collection of poetry.
